Major repair and conservation work to this lovely mediaeval Pembrokeshire church, planned by this practice, will start in April 2018. The contractor will be Tree & Sons, of Milford Haven. The work consists mainly of repair work to the roof, and to stonework.
St. Nicholas is one of those churches where Victorian builders plastered the nave ceiling to the underside of the slating: see our discussion of this problematic detail on our ‘Research and Development’ pages.
The work will represent one of the last projects in Wales funded under the old Heritage Lottery Fund ‘Grants for Places of Worship’ grant scheme.
